Marking Out

Hello everyone, and welcome to the first edition of Marking Out with Mark Malloy.
Each and every week, when I am not busy making appearances on behalf of the Pro Wrestling Circuit in my role as the company's play-by-play announcer and spokesperson, it will be my pleasure to give my unique, insider's perspective on the current happenings and scuttlebutt from around the PWC directly to you, the fans.
With that being said, I realize that many of you may not know who I am, so allow me to introduce myself.
I graduated from George Washington University in 1995 with a BA in Communications.
I began my career in wrestling back in early 2000, as the play-by-play announcer for the now defunct Millennium Wrestling Federation. Though it was my first real job in the industry, I was a long time fan and had to beat out approximately 200 other applicants for the position.
While working in MWF, I came into contact with some of the biggest stars in the industry, including the likes of current PCW color commentator, Jeff Marx, as well as PCW Hall of Famers Ed Novak, Doug Troy and Frisco. Other MWF alumni include the Phantom Booker, Professor Herbert D. Dorkiman and Brock Newbludd.
When MWF was purchased by PCW and the brand was phased out, I spent a brief time as PCW's play-by-play man, only to lose my job as a result of a bizarre gimmick match which pitted myself and Marx versus Dave Kern and Steven Smith for the PCW commentating jobs. Unfortunately for me, I was screwed over by Marx, and PCW decided to go with a three man announce team, with me being the odd man out.
I managed to land on my feet, however, occassionally substituting for various announcers in PCW who missed time due to personal emergencies, injuries or illness, then later was brought in to hold the position of play-by-play man with the oft-ill-fated NTICW promotion.
After several attempts to get the widely considered NTICW promotion off the ground, I was not only out of a job, but out of the industry. With bills to pay, I took jobs announcing dog shows on ESPN 2 for close to a year, before I received the call from PWC officials, asking me to come aboard not only as a commentator, but as the company spokesman as well.
It will be my pleasure to sit along side of you what for what promises to be a wild ride during the formative months here in the Pro Wrestling Circuit.
So until next time, keep Marking Out!
